Product Review: Bulgari Perfume Omnia Green Jade
This Bulgari perfume was launched on the market at the beginning of 2009 and it’s the fourth of the Omnia perfume line, and the third one to be related to a gemstone. The other two are Omnia Crystalline and Omnia Améthyste. The bottle has the same 8-shape of the line. In this version, Bulgari explores greener notes and garden florals, and this Green Jade falls somewhere between the two previous fragrances, with some of the white florals of Crystaline and the green sage of Améthyste. The official notes are: green mandarin, spring water, white peony, nasturtium, jasmine petals, pistachio, white wood and musk.
The opening gives a green note, with a feeling of citrus zest, and traces of soft wood. There is also a sweet fruity note, probably pear, which becomes more intense as the minutes pass, and when the middle phase starts, is the dominant note. There are also hints of peony and other garden flowers, very similar to the white flowers of Beautiful perfume by Estee Lauder. The base notes are sweet and delicate (although with some intense moments), with what smells like musk with green sage, very common in other bulgari fragrances. Citrus and florals are still there, but in the background.
This Omnia green by Bvlgari succeeds in projecting a green and natural image, different from other traditional green notes. The aroma here is a very relaxed spring floral, suitable for a daily use, even for a woman who’ spending the day alone at home. All in all this is not a fragrance with great personality, so it will float your boat if you’re not relying on perfumes to affirm your image socially. The same applies for romantic dates, as the notes are certainly clean but not quite seductive. The ideal age range will be between 20 and 50 years.
